With our headquarters based n “Beatle City”, it is not surprising that we are justly proud of Liverpool, it’s heritage and ambitious plans for the future. For example, the City has just revealed a £15 billion revival plan to produce a “World Class City” in the next 10 years. It is one of three urban centres picked together with Manchester and Sheffield by Government, for projects run by a new regeneration company to bring investment and jobs.
Liverpool Vision will bring together about £450 million of public sector funding, which it hopes will lever more than £1.0 Billion of private sector investment. The City is aiming to create between 8000 and 9000 jobs with in the next decade and will focus its attention on 7 districts including the Mersey Riverfront, commercial district, the culture quarter and the retail core.
Liverpool will soon be celebrating two significant events in style with its 800th Birthday in 2007 and European Capital of Culture in 2008.
